Happy holidays.
I just got back from a few days in Vermont. Chased the powder and it paid off with over two feet of snow to play in. The trip reminded me of why I started PhillyTrips. http://www.SportsAndTrips.com/ref.asp?id=3
Trip was great. Would do it again if the opportunity comes up. But driving up with a handful of guys is fun but having a large group to travel with is so much more fun.
One of my goals in founding PhillyTrips was to make skiing more of a group activity – to have more good people to spend time with on the mountain. This year, I have been late in promoting the ski trips. But winter is definitely here and the mountains are open as I read about the new snow accumulations each day.
Steamboat just received 16 more inches and is almost 100% open: http://www.steamboat.com/snow.aspx Killington is doing great: http://www.steamboat.com/snow.aspx And even the Canyons in Park City just got hit: 15" new snow in the past 24 hours! On the agenda we have three trips. 1. Steamboat Springs , Colorado (2/5/2009 - 2/10/2009) 2. Park City , Utah (3/4/2009 - 3/9/2009) 3. Killington , Vermont (3/12/2009 - 3/15/2009) http://www.SportsAndTrips.com/ref.asp?id=3 Our west trips have averaged between 40 and 50 people each trip. The age group varies slightly, but it is usually in the 25-45 range with about 40% being female. For a ski trip, 40% female is pretty good, honest. For Killington, we have taken at least one full bus and sometimes two buses a year. On the way up, we party the entire way – makes it a fun ride up. Our condo is walkable to the ski lifts. And we have some night time activities scheduled for the local bars (Pickle Barrel and Wobbly Barn). You can see photos from past ski trips at: http://www.phillytrips.com/photo_galleries.asp All pricing and pertinent information can be found on the website at http://www.SportsAndTrips.com/ref.asp?id=3 . Let me know if you have any questions. And if anyone can take some quick trips up to Blue Mountain or NY (Windham/Hunter), please let me know as I am always looking for people to road trip with. That being said, I want to emphasize the value of doing the group trips. From our ski trips which we started in 2005, we have at least one wedding and one engagement. I have also seen groups of friends that bond – not only over ski season – but are friends throughout the year.
Group travel allows for you to enjoy a great activity – whether you are an expert or beginner – and meet quality people. It really is true. Mark http://www.SportsAndTrips.com/ref.asp?id=3
